Yes, but we suggest waiting 15-20 days after colouring. As perming may weaken or damage hair, we recommend using Royal Cream Conditioner which is designed to strengthen treated hair.
Chlorine reacts with hair colour in different ways. For example, blonde hair can take on a greenish tinge, brunette can come up to red and medium shades can turn brassy. Prolonged and frequent exposure to chlorine, salt water and sun can leave colour-treated hair extremely dry and straw-like.
We suggest the following:
- Put a small amount of Royal Cream through dry hair before entering the pool. This will seal the outer hair and protect hair from chemical damage
- Always shampoo hair after swimming
Gentle Vegetal Colours can be applied as often as once a week, or when colour washes out after 6-8 shampoos. When using permanent Herbatint shades, we recommend colouring regrowth which is often noticeable after 4-5 weeks.
Natural Antica Herbavita hair colourings are very gentle products. However, if your hair tends to be dry and brittle, use Royal Cream Conditioner after shampooing.
Wearing gloves is recommended, and we provide them.
Unlike Antica Herbavita, which penetrates the hair with colour, henna creates a solid coating around the hair shaft, making it impossible for other colour treatments to be used. If Henna is present in the hair, it needs to be grown out before applying colour. Neither of our Henna red colours (Herbatint FF1 or Vegetal VN13) contain Henna.
